Grooming Animals Livestock

Important Skills

Livestock like horses, cows, and sheep can be strong and feisty, so being physically fit and comfortable working with large animals is very important.

I’ll often spend a day alone in a barn with a herd of cattle or team of horses and be given the task to trim all their hooves or clip their fur. This job is good if you enjoy working alone or with the company of animals.

Customer Service

It’s important that my clients feel I’m listening to their wants and needs and helping them to achieve their goals – maintaining relationships are important in this role.

Sometimes customers change their mind midway through a project and sometimes codes are hard to troubleshoot. It’s important to be resilient and get back up again after these challenges!
