When You #thinkAG, Think OPPORTUNITIES

1. Hundreds of SCHOLARSHIPS in Agriculture

What's so great about scholarships?

  • Cover costs of pursuing a higher education
  • Often mean access to extra support, including guidance and mentorship from others
  • Offer networking opportunities with others who have won the award (when the time comes to apply for jobs, you’ll already have some contacts in the industry – giving you a huge advantage!)
  • Opens the door to volunteer opportunities that help you get real-world experience
  • Look great on your résumé

2. Tons of SCHOOLS AND TRAINING Programs

No matter which post-secondary route you take, there will be jobs in agriculture and food for you! You don’t even need to enroll in agriculture and food specific schooling to work in this great industry.

Agriculture needs people from diverse backgrounds with different skills to fill the many jobs.

How do you pick the right post-secondary school, course, diploma, degree or certificate program? Here are some questions to ask yourself:

  • Where do I want to go? Do I want to stay close to home, my friends and family, or venture to the great unknown?
  • What type of schedule do I want?
  • Do I want small or large classes? Fewer people around me, or lots?
  • How long do I want to go to school before I can begin working?

3. Super Unique, Exclusive OPPORTUNITIES

Many agriculture and food organizations offer sponsorships to top-notch conferences and events.

Are you interested in:

  • Attending events with influential leaders?
  • Hearing from impactful speakers?
  • Traveling throughout Canada, or to another country?
  • Helping to solve long-standing issues, such as world hunger?
