Job Requirements & Duties

Work with farmers and agribusiness owners to understand their needs for barns, storage facilities, or other farm buildings
Design blueprints and mockups for agricultural buildings, incorporating farm operations and equipment needs
Plan construction projects, including materials, labor, and timelines, ensuring farms stay productive
Supervise construction on farms, solving challenges to keep projects on track and safe
Assist farmers during and after construction to adjust systems for efficiency and functionality
Track time and costs to keep farm building projects on budget and resources well managed

Education & Training

A university degree in engineering or civil technology is recommended, especially for designing and managing farm buildings and other agricultural construction projects.

Job Outlook
