Job Requirements & Duties

  • Respond promptly to customer questions over the phone or through email
  • Have a positive and professional attitude toward customers at all times 
  • Understand and work to solve customer complaints
  • Keep records of customer comments and issues
  • Enter contracts and process order forms, applications, and requests
  • Know the company’s products and services inside and out so it’s easy to answer questions about them

Education & Training

  • No post-secondary education is required, but employers usually like to see some customer support experience.  
  • On-the-job training is often offered by employers to gain specific skills to help advance your knowledge.

I spend a lot of time working directly with customers to understand their needs, so feeling comfortable in that customer service role is important.


Data Processing Technicians may work on multiple projects at once. Being comfortable working on multiple projects or tasks will be important in avoiding errors with data collection or reporting. 


When working with bees, it's so important to stay calm and be patient to keep the animals you're working with calm as well.
