I mostly work out of the office, but I do get to meet with potential media representatives and attend press conferences. I like the diversity I get in my workplace. 



Job Requirements & Duties

  • Write press releases and other information for the media
  • Respond to questions from the media on behalf of the company
  • Help customers and businesses communicate in a positive way with the public
  • Draft speeches and plan interviews for leaders of a company to present
  • Understand what the public currently thinks of a company by analyzing social media
  • Look into advertising and promotional strategies and decide whether they’re a good fit for the company’s brand

Education & Training

  • A university degree in public relations is necessary for this job.

Working with animals comes with challenges. It can be discouraging at times, but I have to be resilient enough to get back up and keep working.
