  • Be the voice of the company for shareholders and the public
  • Plan out short and long term goals for the company
  • Create a vision for the company and set goals to reach this vision
  • Lead managers within the company and make sure they’re also leading with a good set of values
  • Look into how other similar companies are doing and use their successes and failures to guide the company’s growth
  • Understand the risks within the company and reach out to the right people to have those risks managed properly  

Education & Training

  • Most of these positions require at least a university degree, and many ask for a post-graduate degree in business or economics. Extensive experience in the industry is also required for this position.
