I assist farmers and others working along the food supply system to stay up to date with the latest technology and digital innovations. 

I pay attention to trends and identify new technologies that can improve agriculture.

$53,000 - 90,000 Annually

I mostly work out of the office, but I do get to meet with clients on their farms and within other businesses. I also attend a lot of meetings and conferences to stay informed on the latest trends to help my clients succeed.  



Job Requirements & Duties

  • Work with clients across the food system to understand their challenges, identify opportunities, and help guide them in their digital journey
  • Help companies stay up to date on the latest technology and digital innovations 
  • Conduct market research and an analysis of industry best practices, trends, and the current state of technology 
  • Prepare and conduct advisory meetings and presentations for farmers and other groups
  • Liaise with researchers, educators, government, or business managers on matters relating to farming and agriculture trends
  • Maintain records of services provided and the effects of advice given

Education & Training

  • A bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering, information technology (IT), or agriculture business is required for this job.
