I mostly work in an office, but I also get to visit clients on their farms and at other businesses. I attend meetings and conferences regularly to stay up to date on the latest trends and technologies so I can give my clients the best advice possible.

Job Requirements & Duties

  • Work with clients across the food system to understand their challenges, identify opportunities, and help guide them in their digital journey
  • Help companies stay up to date on the latest technology and digital innovations 
  • Conduct market research and analyze industry best practices, trends, and the current technology landscape
  • Prepare and conduct advisory meetings and presentations for farmers and other groups
  • Liaise with researchers, educators, government, or business managers on matters relating to farming and agriculture trends
  • Maintain records of services provided and the effects of advice given

Education & Training

  • A bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering, information technology (IT), or agriculture business is required for this job.
