  • Provide horticultural advice and services to businesses and individuals to support healthy plant growth
  • Sell plants and offer related horticultural products and services
  • Conduct research or gather data to improve growing methods and plant performance

Education & Training

  • Many jobs in this field require a college or university diploma in agronomy, plant science, or a related area. Horticulturalists typically need to be designated professional agronomists. In some cases, relevant work experience or industry certifications may be accepted in place of formal education.
