Job Requirements & Duties

  • Work with customers to understand the projects they need done
  • Read and understand blueprints or other project instructions
  • Use welding equipment to connect metal pieces into useable equipment
  • Follow safety procedures including wearing proper welding gear and respecting fire-safety rules
  • Repair worn parts that have been previously welded
  • Design equipment based on customers needs and then weld it as required  

Education & Training

  • An apprenticeship or trades program in welding is required for this job.
