Job Requirements & Duties

  • Create and test recipes and decide the best way to serve dishes
  • Plan and update menus and ingredients
  • Coordinate all the other cooks and food preparation workers in the kitchen
  • Hire and train new employees to the kitchen’s standard of quality
  • Make sure the kitchen and its equipment are clean and ready to use
  • Talk to customers to ensure their dining experience is excellent

Education & Training

  • Cook's trade certification or similar, plus lots of training and experience, are required.

It’s up to me to make sure our meals and staffing are well planned so we always make sure we are sending out good food quickly, even in the craziness of our busy kitchen!
