I start by finding stories and then going to the source to get interviews and information. It’s exciting and new every time I work in the field, but sitting down in the office to write is when the creativity really flows.

Job Requirements & Duties

  • Write articles that talk about current trends in agriculture
  • Research data and sources for stories
  • Proofread articles to make sure they're accurate and mistake-free
  • Photograph events or people to help tell the story 
  • Help design how the article will be laid out in the newspaper or publication
  • Write eye-catching headlines and caption photos  

Education & Training

  • A university degree or college diploma in Journalism is usually required.
