I work in an office where I do a lot of planning, emailing, and phone calls. I also travel to different places to meet with people who help run or take part in the program. With support from staff and volunteers, I help deliver the programs in person.

Job Requirements & Duties

  • Determine the scope and objectives of a program or project
  • Decide what resources a program or project will need to reach its goals and then manage those resources
  • Prepare a budget for the program or project based on its scope and requirements
  • Manage a detailed schedule and work plan, and track project and program costs
  • Provide updates to stakeholders about progress and strategy 
  • Manage contracts with outside vendors and suppliers that are necessary for the program or project 
  • Coordinate fundraising efforts to raise money for projects and programs
  • Collect statistics and prepare reports that help to measure the success of programs or projects

Education & Training

  • A college diploma or university degree in project management, social work, or a related field is required for this position.
